Herbal supplements are a booming business. Current figures show Americans spend as much as $13 billion annually on these products. Can herbal remedies reduce your cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart attack? What distinguishes herbal remedies and dietary supplements, like edhedra diet pills, bsn supplements, and prohormone supplements from conventional pharmaceuticals are the rigorous scientific studies and clinical trials that prescription drugs must undergo before being approved for general use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA’s ability to regulate control of herbal and discount diet pills has been repeatedly reduced and, as a result, these products can be sold in formulations like drugs and potencies without any proof of effectiveness and safety. Some people turn to herbal supplements because they are wary of so-called hazardous side effects. But these side effects are not that common. Only a fraction people have side effects that this or that medicine is claimed to have. Another reason why people turn to herbal supplements is that they subscribe to the belief that, because these supplements are natural, they are safe. This is not always the case. There have been instances when natural substances have proved hazardous, such as diet supplement known as fen-phen. This combination of fenfluramine and phentermine was withdrawn from the market because of possible links to heart disease. Are all herbal supplements have potential danger to your health? Definitely not. On the contrary, some of them may benefit you and your medical condition. But we strongly believe that any of herbal remedies and herbal supplements that you want to consider, should not be taken without consultation with your doctor.
