Hyperhidrosis is an affliction suffered by men and women worldwide, and it can be an embarrassing one. Essentially it is excessive sweating and its causes can range from stress to things as innocuous as drinking caffeine. With such a range of causes, how can we even hope to stop excessive sweating? We can start by monitoring our diet and life habits, but this requires a drastic lifestyle overhaul. Not all of us can afford such a drastic change. What if we were to nip the physical causes in the bud and nullify our sweaty symptoms? Unfortunately, many deodorant and antiperspirant brands and products are little more than a marketing ploy. Getting behind the brand and seeing if the meat of a deodorant is worth biting into can be very much a trial and error process and therefore an expensive one. Trying to find the best deodorant for men on your own can be a long, tough, sometimes fruitless, task. It doesn’t have to be that way. Here are the 3 things I recommend taking action on to help reduce your sweat issues: - Drink more water: As counterintuitive as it might seem to take on MORE water to stop sweating, it actually helps reduce your body temperature. - Avoid garlic: Garlic produces a gas that your body can’t digest meaning it finds other ways to flush it out. One of these is via your sweat ducts. - Exercise more: Another counter-intuitive measure, but hear me out. Sweating is a process by which your body is trying to sweat toxins out of your system. Exercise simply brings this process forward by sweating it out while you train, thus limiting the need for your body to get rid of these toxins later. Beauty & Wellness
